What you are actually buying
Friday night senior recognition is what this piece was made for. Twenty-some players walk out with their families at halftime, and the program needs something better than a framed 8x10 that warps in a garage. A full-size football with that player's photograph sealed inside carries the weight of the night, literally — it is heavy, it is real equipment, and it gets handed across a field in front of the home stands.
Booster clubs use the same piece differently. A signed ball with the state semifinal photo inside is the item that closes an auction, because bidders can see something inside it that no other ball on the table has.
The third order we fill every season is for coaching staffs: a defensive coordinator leaving after a decade, a head coach's two hundredth win, the equipment manager nobody put on a plaque. The panel grain and lacing are untouched and the eyepiece sits between the laces and the panel seam, so the ball still looks like something you would throw.
