What you are actually buying

League championships are what the puck is for. Beer leagues, junior programs and high school co-ops all end the same way — a final buzzer, a picture on the ice, and no budget for a real trophy per player. A regulation-weight puck with that photograph sealed inside costs less than the banquet dinner and every skater on the sheet gets one.

Tournament runs work the same way. A weekend showcase, a holiday classic, an outdoor rink event: the date and the bracket result go on the face, the photograph goes inside.

The third order is the locker room retirement — the player hanging them up after twenty seasons, the equipment manager, the volunteer who ran the ice schedule. A puck sits on a desk the way a ball cannot, which is why it is our most common workplace-gift piece.

It is solid vulcanized rubber at regulation weight, with the eyepiece set into one flat face and the opposite face free for lettering. It will not chip, and there is nothing printed on it to wear away in a bag.

Sending your photo
